- 6 Admission Process for B.Com in Patna Women’s College -Every candidate will have to apply through an application form which will be made available by the college itself a few weeks/months prior to the entrance test. -After the entrance exam, the first admission list will be put up on the college notice board and also on the college website. -Candidates who have qualified the entrance exam and satisfy the eligibility criteria will be called for admission along with the required admissions. -The seats will be filled and in case a seat is left vacant it will be passed on to the next candidate in the waiting list of the same category.
Patna Women’s College is the first college for women in Bihar. It was established in 1940 with the support of Bishop Sullivan S.J. Patna. The College is run by the sisters of Apostolic Carmel. Initially only Arts subjects were taught. This college offers admissions to B.Com for the session 2017-18 through an entrance examination which is conducted by it.
Candidates who are appearing in intermediate or equivalent examinations will be eligible to appear for this exam.Candidates who are going to appear for this entrance test are also subjected to present the proof of them scoring at least 45% of marks in the aggregate of the qualifying examinations.As the name itself suggests, it is only for the female candidates.

Application Form and Fee
Application form for admissions for session 2017-18 can be filled online on the official website of Patna Women’s college once the application forms have been made available. Candidates are advised that they make sure to check their eligibility before paying the application fee or before registering in with the application form.
The fee for appearing in the PUCET in the four streams will be INR 300 only and the payment of this fee can be done by online/offline challan methods at P.U.A.C. no.
Exam Pattern 2017
Admission to B.Com will be through an entrance test. The entrance test will have objective type questions and use of only Blue/Black ball pen will be allowed on the OMR sheet and use of whitener on the OMR may also result in the abandonment of the OMR and cancellation of the candidature of the candidate.
The pattern for entrance test is as follows :
Full Marks : 100 Marks
Duration Of Exam : 2:15 Hours
No. of Objective question : 100 question. 1 question carries 1 mark.

Minimum marks/Qualifying Marks
For general Category : 50% (Aggregate)
For SC/ST/EBC : 45%(Aggregate)
Note: The candidate with compartment/fail or candidates with less that 45% of marks in the aggregate in the qualifying examination will not be considered for admission no matter how better their score is in the qualifying examination.
