National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test 2017 is conducted for those aspirants who are seeking for admission into MBBS/BDS Courses in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. A great number of candidates have appeared in NEET 2017. Those candidates who have cleared the minimum cut-off marks those can take part in counselling procedure. Candidates have to register themselves in the counselling process to confirm their seats in MBBS/BDS course & colleges. NEET Counselling 2017 1st / 2nd / 3rd / 4th Seat Allotment
MCC stands for Medical Counselling Committee. This committee is constituted by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It has constituted to conduct online counselling for 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS courses. The candidates will get admission through counselling procedure. The NEET counselling 2017 will be started from the third week of June 2017. Choices filling and locking will be done via online mode. Only registered candidates can make their choices through online mode.
NEET Counselling Procedure
The NEET online counselling will be held in three rounds. The online counselling procedures is discussed below.
Online Registration: First of all the candidates have to register themselves by filling their basic details. The candidates who will register only those will consider the participant of counselling procedure. After registration, candidates will get a unique User ID & password in registered email Id & mobile number.
Choice Filling & Locking: After registration procedure candidates have to select the medical/dental colleges & courses as per their preference. Keep in mind that it is necessary to lock the choices after final selection. The candidates have to click on “Save” button & lock their choices.
Result Declaration: Now result will be declared by the officials. The seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of rank & opted choice of colleges. Candidates will receive a SMS or email related to the allotted course & colleges after a few days of the counselling process.
Reporting to the Allotted College: After declaration of result candidates have to report in the allotted college and confirm their seat by paying the course fee. If candidate failed to report in the allotted college on given date the seats will be given to the next candidate.
Documents required for NEET Counselling
The candidates are suggested to carry the following original documents along with the attested photocopy of the documents for verification at the time of counselling.
- 10th & 12th Passing Certificate
- NEET 2016 Admit Card
- NEET 2016 Rank Card
- Eight (8) Passport Sizes photograph
- Caste Certificate (If applicable)
- PWD Certificate (If applicable)
- Provisional Allotment Letter
- ID Proof
