KEA DCET is the Karnataka Diploma Common Entrance Test. It is conducted in order to help the candidates/applicants to get admitted in the 2nd year /3rd semester of Engineering and also admissions to First year of Architecture Courses. No official details or information has been declared yet but as soon as the application forms and updates for the exam are made public, the interested candidates/applicants can go online and visit the official website of the Karnataka Diploma Common Entrance Test 2017 in order to fill out the application forms for appearing in the examination and competing for the limited seats available.

KEA DCET 2017 Application Fee
Application Fee:
-The application Fee for the KEA DCET 2017 for candidates belonging to General Category is : Rs.650/-
-The application Fee for the KEA DCET 2017 for candidates belonging to Reserved Category (SC/ST) is : Rs.500/-
KEA DCET 2017 Eligibility Criteria
For B.E. Courses : (Day Engineering Colleges) A candidate who has passed any diploma examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate of minimum of 45% of marks in all the subjects of the final year.(40% for Reserved category)
For B.E. Courses :(Evening Engineering Colleges) A candidate who has passed any diploma or any equivalent examination and has obtained a minimum of 45% of marks taken together in the final year subjects. (40% for Reserved category)
For B.Arch Courses: A candidate who has passed any diploma or equivalent examination and has managed to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects of final year is eligible for this course.(45% for Reserved Category)
KEA DCET 2017 Exam Pattern
This exam is conducted straight in one go with no break in between. It is conducted for 180 marks and is a 3 hour long running test . Additional 25 minutes are given for filling of name and roll no. etc on the OMR sheet.
The question paper will be an objective type question paper. There will be four choices to one question out of which one will be correct.
Each question will carry one mark. Hence, there will be total 180 questions.
The distribution of questions is as follows :
Applied Science : 40 questions (Common for all the engineering group codes)
Applied Mathematics : 40 (Common for all the engineering group codes)
Engineering : 100 questions (Refer to the engineering subjects and subject code in the brochure)
Total : 180 questions (All the questions will be objective type.
