AP LAWCET 2017 Application Form

Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur is the conducting body of the Andhra Pradesh Common Law Entrance Tests (APLAWCET & APPGLCET) on behalf of the state of Andhra Pradesh Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad. This exam is conducted in order to help the candidates/applicants to get admissions into LL.B 3/5 Year Law Courses and LL.M Courses in the Universities in Andhra Pradesh and their affiliated colleges which are associated with the exam conducting body.

The candidates/applicants are advised to make sure that they fit well within the specified criteria which is prefixed by the exam conducting body and then, go for filling out the application form. The various details about the exam like eligibility criteria, exam pattern etc. are given below.

Note: The dates presented above are merely a consequence of the analysis done on the previous year dates and are subjected to change which is totally dependent upon the exam conducting body.

LAWCET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

1. The candidates should be an Indian Citizen/ Nationals and should satisfy local/non- local status requirements prescribed in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions whose regulations were amended in the year 1974.

2. The candidates other than Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned with the type of course the candidate/applicant wants to opt for.

3. The candidates seeking admission in:-
-For LLB 3 Year Course: The candidate/applicant should have passed the Graduate Degree Examination of minimum three years duration(10+2+3 pattern)from a recognized University with at least 45% marks in the aggregate . The same % amount has been decreased down to 40% in case of reserved categories. If any candidate secured less than 45% in graduation, he should have passed any additional graduation or Post Graduation with 45% marks in order to appear in the examination.

-For LL.B 5 year course: The candidate should have passed two year Intermediate Examination(10+2 pattern) with at least 45% marks in the aggregate.The same % amount has been decreased down to 40% in case of reserved categories in the qualifying examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent to Intermediate by the University, Board of Intermediate A. P. and Bar Council of India.
Qualifying marks in AP LAWCET-2017 are 35% which means that the candidate will have to manage to successfully score at least of 42 Marks out of 120 marks and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates.

LAWCET 2017 Exam Pattern

FOR LL.B 3.YDC/5YDC Pattern:-

The Test will consist of total three parts. Total number of questions will be 120 and duration of test is 90 minutes. Maximum marks will be 120 which means that each question carries one mark.

Part A – Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks and the questions will be based on the subjects General knowledge and Mental Ability

Part B – Consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks and the questions will be based on the subjects Current Affairs

Part C – Consists of 60 questions carrying 60 marks and the questions will be based on the subjects Aptitude for the Study of Law.

The questions in Pact C, Aptitude for study of law, elementary knowledge of the basic principles of the law and Constitution on India on the Part of the student is assumed.
