This department runs the prime course of Master of Commerce for which it was established in the first place in 1967.This programme is a post graduate 2 years full time running programme totally including four semesters.
This is one of the most prestigious courses in the whole country right now. This course has it’s branches spread out in business, academics and administration in our country as well as in abroad. This programme has been serving as a managerial cadre in business and industry.Department of Commerce, formally set up as a separate entity in 1967, has imbibed the DSE tradition of exploring new frontiers of knowledge and innovation in academics.
The interested candidates can apply for the admissions in this course for the year 2017 after checking the details like eligibility criteria etc. It is a good opportunity providing platform for commerce students and is also a very promising platform for them.
Eligibility Criteria for various categories
Entrance Category
B.Com(Hons.) Or B.A.(Hons.) : Economics from Delhi University or any other recognized university.
B.Com(Pass.) or B.Com(Degree) From university of Delhi or any other recognized University.
Marks Requirement
-50% of marks in aggregate for General Category. 45% for OBC and 45% as well for CW and PWD category.
-55% marks in aggregate for General Category. 49.5% marks for OBC and 50% for CW and PWD category.
In merit Category
B.Com(Hons.) From university of Delhi
B.Com (Pass.) or B.Com(Degree) from University of Delhi
Marks requirement
-65% marks in aggregate for General Category and 58.5% marks for OBC and 60% for CW and PWD.
-70% marks in aggregate for General Category and 65% marks for OBC and 68% for CW and PWD.

Reservation Procedure
Reservation of the seats shall be in the following way :
-Scheduled Castes : 15% of total intake capacity in each course
-Scheduled Tribes : 7.5% of total intake capacity in each course.
-Other Backward Classes : 27& of total intake capacity in each course.
The seats reserved for SC and ST candidates can only be filled by SC/ST candidates and no one else.
In case of non-availability of eligible candidates the reserved seats of SC and ST can be interchanged and intermixed with each other. Even after that, if a seat remains vacant, it should be left that way but it can’t be given to any candidate belonging to a third different category.
The seats reserved for the OBC shall be filled by OBC candidates only and no one other than them.
In case the OBC candidate possessing the minimum eligibility marks is not available then, the OBC seats which are left vacant till that time will be converted into General Category seats in accordance with the admission schedule notified by the University.
I secured 57% in b.com and I am from Assam with obc caste.. am I eligible for admission for m.com in Delhi university.
