The seven Associations in the State of Tamil Nadu have formed a Consortium with the new name of “Consortium of Self Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu”.In this consortium, the majority of the members are the colleges who have courses like Engineering and in the field of Arts and Science to offer. This organization or the newly formed Consortium has been given the permission to help the students to get admitted in various Post graduate courses like that of MBA / MCA/ M.E / M.TECH / M.ARCH in various private and professional, arts and science colleges under the Management Quota in the state of Tamil Nadu on the basis of Common Entrance Test.
This entrance test is exclusively conducted for the students belonging to the state of Tamil Nadu.This entrance exam will help the candidates to get admitted into the various member colleges of this association/union which are spread all across the state.
Since this exam is the result of a various colleges coming together to form an association, there are a lot of points and sections that a candidate must check out and see if he/she manages to fit well within those sections and may be able to adjust to a few other rules and regulations. TNSF CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria
This is one of the most important part of an entrance exam that the candidate should make sure of before applying for the exam and paying for the application fee.
The laid down eligibility criteria for the courses is :
-For the M.B.A degree programme : The candidate must have passed in the qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and the same no. has been reduced down to just 45% in the case of candidates who belong to the reserved category.
-For the M.C.A. degree programme : For this course, the candidate must be in the possession of his/her bachelor’s degree with mathematics at the qualifying examination level and the candidate must have scored a 50% in the degree as well and the candidate should have no re appears pending. The same percentile amount has been reduced down to just 45% in the case of candidates belonging to the reserved category.
TNSF CET 2017 Exam Pattern
-The entrance tests will be of 90 minutes in the time duration.
-There will be 100 questions out of which all will be objective type questions.
-The answers will have to be marked on the Optical Mark Reader Sheet (OMR Sheet).
-The paper will comprise of three sections i.e. Section A, Section B, Section C.
-The question paper will consist of questions which will be belonging to the prescribed syllabus.
-There is provision for negative marking too in the entrance exam so it is suggested that in case the applicant is not aware of any answer to a question, he/she should leave it at that.
