Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is organized by the Anna University which is situated in Chennai. Candidates are informed that this is not any kind of entrance exam and this university not conducting any kind of entrance exam for the admission of the candidates. The admission of the candidates will be on the basis of the marks in the 12th Standard. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is just a admission procedure into the engineering courses. Candidates can take admission in the various engineering courses are offered by the university.
TNEA 2018-2019
Anna University is going to manage the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) for the academic session of the 2018-19. Candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks in the 12th marks. Candidates can fill the application form for the TNEA and register for the admission process. Candidates have to fill the application form by visiting the official website of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). There will be no entrance exam which will be conducted for the admission. Candidate can take admission on the basis of percentage in 12th class.

TNEA 2018-2019 Application Fees
The application fees can be paid through online or offline mode. Candidates can pay the fees online by the debit card or by credit card. Candidates can pay the application fees by e-challan or by demand draft. The demand draft will be sent to the address which is given below:

Online Application Fees:
- Application Fees for the General and OBC Category’s Candidates is Rs.500
- Application Fees for the ST and SC Category’s Candidates is Rs.250
Offline Application Fees:
- Application Fees for the General and OBC Category’s Candidates is Rs.750
- Application Fees for the ST and SC Category’s Candidates is Rs.450
TNEA 2018-2019 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
- The minimum age for applying is 18 years and the maximum age for applying is 25 years.
- There is also age relaxation for the reserved category’s candidates as per the university rules and regulations.
Educational Qualifications:
- Candidate must clear his 12th standard from any recognized Board of Education.
- Candidate must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and English subjects in the 12th standard.
- Candidate must have at least 45% marks in the 12th standard.
- Candidates who belongs to the SC or ST category then they must have at least 40% marks in the 12th standard.
Other:
Candidates who belongs to the other state can also apply for the TNEA 2018.
Daughters and Sons of All India Service Tamil Nadu Cadre Officers are also eligible to apply for the TNEA 2018.
TNEA 2018-2019 Cut Off Marks
Candidates are informed that the cut off marks will be released after the completion of the application process. Candidates can check the cut off marks on the official website. The cut off marks are those marks which are required by the candidates to take admission in the different colleges of the university. Candidates must have above marks than the cut off marks. If any candidate do not have enough marks as compare to cut off marks then he is not eligible for the admission.
TNEA 2018-2019 Counselling
The counselling will start in the fourth week of June 2018. Candidates have to attend the counseling if they above marks than the cut off marks. Candidates have to bring all the original documents at the time of the counselling. In the counselling, allotment of seats will be taken place. The seats will be allotted on the basis of the marks in the 12th standard. Candidates have to pay the counselling fees and the amount of the initial payment of the counselling fees is given below:
- Counselling Fees for the General and OBC Category’s Candidates is Rs.5000
- Counselling Fees for the ST and SC Category’s Candidates is Rs.1000
Candidate can pay the amount of the counselling fees in the form of cash or demand draft.
How to fill TNEA 2018 Application Form
- Firstly, candidates have to go the official website of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) i.e. www.tnea.ac.in
- Then go to the online application option and click on it
- Fill all the details into the application form and upload the scanned copy of required documents without doing any mistake
- Then click on the submit button
- Pay the application fees
- Save the application form for future.
