PUCET (PG) is an entrance test conducted by the Punjab University for helping the candidates to get admitted in the post graduate courses offered by it. So, PUCET originally stands for Punjab University Common Entrance Test and the PG portion answers to the full form “Post Graduate”.
This exam is held every year but the notification for the same for the year 2017 hasn’t officially been announced. But, as soon as the official notification regarding this exam is made public, the candidates will be free to go visit the official website of this common entrance exam and fill out the application form and register for appearing in the examination. The admissions in the Punjab University in the post graduate engineering courses are only done through the entrance examination conducted by the University itself. There is no other direct way for a candidate to directly get an admission in this university in the post graduate Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology etc. courses. This entrance exam is quite an important one as it all depends on this exam for whether a candidate will be able to get admitted into one of the courses of their choice or not.
The candidates/applicants must remember to have performed many cross checks that whether they have managed to satisfy the specified eligibility criteria i.e. conditions necessary to be implemented which are already mentioned by the office/board that conducts the examination or not and then, they should proceed with filling out and submitting the application form of PU CET Exam 2017. PU CET(PG) 2017 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates/applicants who have an urge or the candidates desirous to get admissions into this university must be fulfilling the eligibility criteria for having the ability to appear in the examination.Failing to do so and still giving the entrance examination may result in the rejection of the candidate’s application form. These criterion are prefixed and decided by the exam conducting body.
The eligibility criteria for this exam is as follows :
Educational Qualification :The candidates who are in possession of their LLB/BA.LLB/B.COM LLB degree or the candidates/applicants who seem to be appearing in the final year of the same bachelor’s degree are eligible for appearing in this entrance examination.
-The Punjab university demands that the candidate must have managed to secure at least a percentage of 55% in the aggregate of all the semesters of the degree.
Note: The same percentage amount has been reduced down to just 50% for the reserved categories.
-The candidate appearing in the final year of his/her above mentioned Degrees can give the entrance exam and if qualifies, he/she should have cleared their degree by the time, the counselling for the admissions starts.
PU CET 2017 Exam Pattern
-The exam will total be of 90 minutes i.e. 1 hour and 30 minutes.
-The exam will be of a maximum of 75 marks.
-Each question will be carrying a maximum of 1 mark which means that there will be a total of 75 questions.
Out of these 75 questions all of them will be multiple choice questions.

-Search out the application forms menu and choose the one you want to fill out i.e. PU CET(PG).
-Make sure to enter all your correct information.
-Attach the PDF Documents which have been asked by the exam conducting body.
-Finish the registration process and wait for the admit card notification.
