PAU stands for Punjab Agricultural University. It offers admissions to students in various Under Graduate and Post Graduate Courses. The candidates who are residents of punjab or Union Territory of Chandigarh are the only ones who are eligible for seeking admission in these courses in the Punjab Agricultural University. Only the MBA programmes are a little exceptional as 85% of the seats are filled by the candidates with state domicile and rest of the 15% are from other states.

Important Dates for PAU 2017
-Starting of Online Application Forms: 2nd week of April 2017
Program with Entrance Exam:
-Last Date of Receipt of applications(without late fee): First week of May 2017
-Last Date of Receipt of applications(with late fee Rs. 100/-): Second Week of May 2017
Program Without Entrance Exam:
-Last Date of Receipt of applications(without late fee): First week of June 2017
-Last Date of Receipt of applications(with late fee Rs. 100/-): Mid of May 2017
*For design aptitude Test (DAT) the last date of receipt of application form with late fee is in the last of May 2017.
For Without Entrance Exam: It is advised that you apply through offline mode only.
Instructions For Entrance Test
1. All the entrance exams will start at 10:00 AM on the prescribed dates. The candidates are advised to reach the examination center before 1 hour.
2.Candidates late for about more than half an hour won’t be allowed in the exam center.
3.Calculators, log tables or any electronic device is strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Possession of any such device can lead to the disqualification of the candidature.
4.If a candidate puts up any identification marks on the OMR sheet, the candidature of that candidate will be cancelled.
1)The Result will be displayed in the Thapar Hall as well as on the university’s website. http://www.pau.edu/
2)The candidates called out for counselling shall reach the prescribed venue on time.
3)The candidates called out for counselling will be 4 times the total no. of seats in the programme.
4)For Master’s programmes, candidates scoring a minimum of 20% in the entrance exam will be the only ones who’ll be called out for the counselling sessions.
Important Information Regarding the PAU 2017
-Only the residential candidates of Punjab or the Union Territory of Chandigarh are allowed to appear in the entrance exam. (Mentioned Above)
-The candidates who appeared or are appearing in the qualifying examination can apply but they must produce original mark sheets of qualifying examination result at the same time of counselling.
Note: Failing to do as mentioned above would result in the passing on of the seat to the next candidate waiting in merit.
