Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishvavidyalaya(IGKV) or Indira Gandhi Agricultural University conducts a Common Entrance Test(CET) every year for admission in Post graduate agricultural programs. IGKV CET 2017 is expected to be held in the month of June in 2017. It is a good platform for candidates who have completed their under graduate courses and look forward for post graduate courses like M.Sc.Agriculture, M.Sc. Fruit Science,M.Tech Agriculture, etc.
IGKV CET 2017 Application Form
The IGKV CET application form is also expected to be in online mode, pretty much like last year as the application forms were made available for the interested candidates. No official statements have been made yet but things are expected to go pretty much like the way they went last year. Before filling up of online application forms, it should be made clear that whether the candidate is eligible for admission in the post graduate course or not.
Exam Pattern For IGKV CET
Since the details about the examination haven’t been declared yet, the exact pattern isn’t known but it is clear that the exam will be to test the aptitude of candidates and their knowledge up to under graduate level of studies.

Eligibility Criteria for different courses
(1)For M.Sc.(Ag.)Genetics and Plant Breeding,M.Sc.(Ag.)Soil Science and agricultural Chemistry,M.Sc.(Ag.)Entomology,M.Sc.(Ag.)Agril. Extension,M.Sc.(Ag.)Plant Pathology,M.Sc.(Ag.)Agril Economics,M.Sc.(Ag.)Plant physiology,M.Sc.(Ag.)Agrometeorology,M.Sc.(Ag.)Vegetable Science,M.Sc.(Ag.)Fruit Science:-B.Sc.(Ag.)/M.Sc.(Hort.) with minimum of 60% Marks.
(2)For M.Sc.(Ag.)Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology:-B.Sc.(Ag.)/B.Sc.(Hort.)/B.Sc.(Ag. Biotechnology) with a minimum of 60% marks.
(3)For M.Sc.(Ag.) Agronomy:-B.Sc.(Ag.) with a minimum of 60% marks.
(4)For M.Sc.(Ag.) Agril Statistics:-B.Sc.(Ag.), B.Sc.(Hort.) with a minimum of 60% marks.
(5)For MBA (ABM):-:-Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks.
(6)For M.Sc. Forestry:-B.Sc. Forestry/B.Sc.(Hon.) with a minimum of 60% marks.
(7)For M.Tech(Agril. Engg.) Farm machinery and Power Engineering:-B.Tech (Agril. Engg.)/B.Sc.(Agril. Engg.) with a minimum of 60% marks.
(8)For M.Tech(Agril.Engg.) Agricultural Processing and Food engineering:-B.Tech (Agril. Engg.)/B.Sc.(Agril. Engg.)/B.Tech(Chem. Engg.)/B.Tech.(Dairy Technology)/B.Sc.(Dairy Technology)/B.E.(Dairy Technology) with a minimum of 60% marks.
(9)For M.Tech(agril. Engg.) Soil and Water Engineering:-B.Tech (Agril. Engg.)/B.Sc.(Agril. Engg.)/B.E.(Agril. Engg.)/B.Tech(Civil Engg.)/B.Sc.(Civil Engg.)/B.E. (Civil Engg.) with a minimum of 60% marks.
All of the criteria should be fulfilled in order to get admitted to the courses listed above. It is to be noted that the proof of the fulfillment of the criteria should be carried along to the counselling sessions.
Application Fee for different categories
-For General/OBC candidates Rs. 400/- as application fee.
-For SC/ST/PH candidates Rs. 100/- as application fee.
