Goa Common Entrance Test GCET 2017 Notification and Dates have not been announced yet. The candidates who want to get admission to MBBS, BDS, BHMS, B.E., B.Arch & B.Pharm., Allied Health Sciences (BPT, BOT, B.Opt., B.Sc.M.I.T., B.Sc.A.T.) B.Sc in Nursing in the State of Goa for the academic year 2017 will have to appear in the Goa Common Entrance Test GCET 2017.
Goa Common Entrance Test which is also termed as GCET 2017 is the state level common entrance test which is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa. The test is conducted in order to help the candidates to get admission in to various under graduate professional degree courses like Engineering, Medical, and Architecture etc. according to their preference.
Every year a very huge amount of applicants/candidates who are interested in the courses offered by the GCET (also mentioned above)appear for the GCET exam. The exam is conducted in the month of may of the respective year for admission into the private and government medical and engineering colleges located in Goa state.
The candidates/applicants are advised to make sure that they fit well within the specified criteria which is prefixed by the Directorate of Technical Education and then, go for filling out the application form. The various details about the exam like eligibility criteria, exam pattern etc. are given below.

GCET 2017 Eligibility Criteria
GCET admission to Professional Degree courses included in this prospectus, an applicant must fulfil the following criteria:
Nationality: The admissions of the candidates/applicants to professional courses in the State of Goa are open to Indian nationals who manage to fulfil the eligibility criteria of the exam under various categories.
The Indians who are NRIs (Non residential of India) but hold an Indian passport may also apply for seats reserved under NRI category. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) /Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholding candidates are considered eligible for admissions to seats underthe same NRI category too.
Foreign Nationals must apply to Govt. of India
Age: The candidate/applicant who is desirous of getting admission to Degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy Allied Health Sciences and Nursing should be minimum of 17 years in age as per the academic year of admission to become eligible for admission to First Year.
Age Limit: No age limit, none at all, is specified for admissions to Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture programmes.
Equivalent Exam: The candidate/applicant must have passed the 10+2 exam of the Goa Board or an Exam conducted by the CBSE New Delhi, or any other equivalent exam, which is believed to be of the same scope and standard as that of Goa Board, and must have obtained the minimum percentage of 50%(non reserved category) marks in the specific subjects.

-The exam will consist of four papers namely of physics, mathematics, chemistry and biology
-Each paper will consist of 75 questions which are to be answered in two hours.
-Each question will have four choices and out of that only one will be correct.
-Each correct answer will carry one mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong/multiple answers
-The examination will be in English language only
