NEST 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Candidate must passed in 12th class with at least 60% marks in total from any recognized Board of Education in any stream
- Candidate who belongs to reserved category (SC/ST) must passed in 12th class with at least 55% marks in total from any recognized Board of Education in any stream and for Persons with Disability (PD) required the same.
- Those candidates who are waiting for the result of 12th class of academic year 2016-17 are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit
- Maximum age for the General and OBC category candidates is 22 years.
- There is 5 Years relaxation for the SC/ ST and Physically Disabled (PD) candidates.
Note : If any candidate not fit in this criteria then he/she is not eligible for the NEST 2017 and the application form will be rejected by the institute because this criteria is set by the institute and no one is allowed to not follow this criteria.
NEST 2017 Exam Pattern
In the NEST exam,question paper consist of 300 Multiple Choice Question and the duration of the exam is of 3 Hours.There are five sections and in each section there will be 60 questions.1st Section is compulsory for the all the candidates and 2nd Section will contain questions of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.Candidate have to attempt the questions in any three of them.
How to fill Application Form NEST 2017
-First of all candidate have to visit the official website of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) i.e.
-Then go to the application from tab and then
-Choose the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST)
-Choose the course and fill the correct and proper information, upload all the required scanned documents
-Click on the submit button
-Then pay the fees{Rs. 700 for Male candidates (General and OBC category) and Rs. 350 (SC and ST category), for Female (All categories) Rs. 350 and Persons with Physical Disability Rs. 350} of the application form by net banking or by debit or credit card
-And after all this process candidate can Save and Print the application form for the future purpose.
