This exam is conducted in order to help the candidates to get admitted in the medical courses of their choices in the best of the best medical colleges which are located in the state of Kerala. All the admissions to those colleges are done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in this entrance examination. This exam is also conducted by the CEE i.e. Commissioner of Entrance Examinations.
This exam is specially conducted for admissions in the government colleges of Kerala. This exam is specifically for those candidates who wish to pursue MD/MS in medical colleges of Kerala.

Kerala PG Medical 2017 Eligibility Criteria
-The candidates/applicants who have completed their MBBS degree or are in possession of their provisional certificates are also eligible for appearing/applying for this examination.
-The applicant must have completed his/her MBBS degree from any institution in Kerala or any other recognized college/institution and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects.
-Candidates appearing in the final year of their MBBS degree are also eligible for appearing in this examination.
-The applicant must be a citizen of India or must possess an OCI card or can be a non residential of the country.The candidates who fall under any of these situations are eligible for appearing in this examination.
-There is no upper age limit in this examination i.e. the candidate could be of any age group and will still be eligible for appearing in this examination.
Kerala PG Medical 2017 Exam Pattern
-This exam will consist of two parts which eventually means two separate papers of two hours duration each.
-Each of these exams will consist of 150 questions which will be objective type also known as objective type questions.
-The exam will be conducted on the OMR(Optical Mark Reader)Sheet and the candidate is suggested to only darken one circle/bubble per answer.
-Each question will consist of 4 marks and there is a provision for negative marking in this exam. Each incorrect answer indicated will result in the candidate losing 1 mark out of his/her total score.
-In case the candidate marks more than two bubbles for a single answer, the same question will be taken for a negative response and the criteria of an incorrect answer will be applied on it.
Kerala PG Medical 2017 Qualifying Marks
-For the general candidates, they need to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance examination for getting declared as qualified in the entrance examination.
-For the candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories, they need to secure a minimum of 40% marks in the entrance examination for getting declared as qualified.
-For the candidates who have any disabilities need to secure only a 45% marks in order to be declared as qualified in the entrance examination.
