Indian Council Of Agricultural Research(ICAR) conducts this All India Entrance Examination for Admission(AIEEA) for admissions in Bachelor’s Degree Programmes in agricultural subjects. Great opportunity to look up to for those with the interest in agricultural studies.
Through this exam (ICAR AIEEA UG 2017) 15% of the Agricultural Universities seats will be allotted. National Talent Scholarships(NTS) are awarded on the basis and performance of this exam.

ICAR AIEEA UG 2017 examination for the academic session of 2017-18 will be conducted by ICAR around 20 May 2017-25 May 2017. The exam date hasn’t been officially declared yet but the date mentioned here is just a result of an analysis of the dates on which the exam has been conducted previously.

Criteria for Eligibility for AIEEA UG 2017
(i)The interested candidate must have passed 10+2 senior secondary examination with a recognizable board like that of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The candidate must have completed his/her senior secondary education with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics/Home Science/Agriculture.
Note:For admissions in universities located in Non-hindi speaking areas, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with English subject as a core.
(ii)(a) The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination securing no less than 50% marks (Aggregate) for the categories: General, OBC, UPS. A minimum of 40% marks are required for the following category/s:SC/ST, PC.
(b)Candidates having a re-appear in any of the subjects will not be considered eligible for appearing in this examination. And there should be a legitimate proof of having cleared the following exam supporting a specific percentage as described above.

Scheme Of AIEEA UG Examination 2017
(i) The examination will be conducted in one of the two streams i.e. Stream A, comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture as subjects and Stream B, comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects.
(ii)Questions for Physics and Chemistry will remain same for both, Stream A as well as Stream B.
(iii)The examination will comprise of 180 questions. 60 questions for Physics, 60 questions for Chemistry, 60 questions for Mathematics/Agriculture/Biology.
(iv)Each correctly answered question will result in a gain of 4 marks and each incorrectly answered question will make a loss of 1 mark which means that maximum marks are 180*4=720.
