CSSET stands for Combined Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test. It is conducted for three Sanskrit deemed universities. CSSET 2017 is scheduled to be held in the month of May 2017 by Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Tirupati.
CSSET 2017 will be held for B.Ed at specific test centres in different parts of the country. As per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), this course will be of duration of 2 years.

Date of Examination : First week of May 2017
Examination Centre at Jammu is also added. Candidates can fill exam centre (Jammu) on their application form and OMR sheet.
CSSET 2017 Exam Pattern
The total duration of this paper is two and a half hours which is divided as follows-
-Two hours for the first “Part-A” objective type paper.
-Half an hour is for second part or the “Part-B” descriptive type of the paper for which separate question paper and answer sheet will definitely be provided.
Ten minutes extra will be provided for collecting the OMR sheets, the question paper booklets and distribution of the answer sheet of the Question paper Part B. Around 12:05 only the question paper Part B shall be distributed. During this distribution period the candidates will keep sitting in their respective seats.
Marking Scheme CSSET 2017
Part A :
-Proficiency in Sanskrit : 40 Marks
-General Knowledge and Mental Ability : 40 Marks
-Teaching Aptitude : 40 marks
-Sanskrit Literature : 40 marks
Part B :
-Knowledge of Sanskrit Linguistic Components : 10 Marks
-Comprehension Test : 20 Marks
-Creative Writing : 10 Marks
Evaluation Method
-Securing atleast of 35% of marks separately in proficiency in Sanskrit Language and Sanskrit Literature and also in Sanskrit Language Writing Capability and about a 20% marks in the remaining sections will be necessary for passing.
-Only those candidates passing with requisite marks in all sections of Part A will qualify for evaluation of Part B.
-Those candidates who pass in both, Part A and Part B will be the only ones to who will be declared successful.
CSSET 2017 Eligibility Criteria
-The students who have passed B.A. with Sanskrit for two years from any university are eligible to appear in this exam and it is necessary for them to have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.
-The same aggregate percentage has been decreased down to 45% for SC/ST candidates.
-The proof of having passed the qualifying examination/marksheet should accompany the application form.
Age Limit: The candidate appearing for this exam should be atleast 19 years in age.
